Job summary

Jewelers Mutual Group is seeking a hands-on Manager, Information Security to lead security engineering and operations. You will guide engineers and analysts, own security operations, and coordinate with CISO and CIO to mature security controls and processes across cloud, on‑prem, and delivery pipelines.

You will align with business risk priorities, manage vendor relationships, and continually improve incident response readiness with measurable KPIs and KRIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years hands-on technical information security experience.
• 2+ years leading a security team and supervising staff.
• Strong cloud security experience in Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with MSSPs and managed security services.
• Proven ability to communicate complex security topics to non-technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of information security engineers and analysts.
• Own security operations and vulnerability management, including tooling and incident triage.
• Serve as technical security lead for security architecture with CISO alignment.
• Embed security controls across IT, DevOps, cloud, and application delivery.
• Oversee vulnerability management cadence, remediation SLAs, reporting, and escalation.
• Manage MSSP/SOC relationships and related procedures.
• Define and report security operations KPIs and KRIs to leadership.
• Support budgeting, vendor evaluations, renewals, and contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and procedures for repeatable ops.
• Assist CISO with information security program maturity roadmap and regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with GRC on audit readiness and evidence collection.
• Participate in off-hours escalation rotation for critical incidents.
