Job summary

Cresset in Chicago seeks a Managing Director, Information Security to lead the firm’s enterprise information security program. The role reports to the CTO and partners with IT, Compliance, Legal, HR, and business leaders to bolster security while enabling growth.

The person will build and mature the security organization, manage budgets and vendors, and drive IAM, data protection, and regulatory compliance across cloud and on‑premises environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive information security experience.
• 5+ years leading enterprise information security teams.
• Experience in wealth management or highly regulated industries.
• Proven track record building or maturing a security program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise information security strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead Information Security team and budget, vendor relationships, and governance.
• Oversee IAM, data protection, and network security programs.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, HR, and business leaders to manage cyber risk.
• Lead incident response and security operations, including tabletop exercises.
