Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Information Security Office Consultant to lead cross‑functional security consulting for enterprise platforms, cloud environments and application security. You will advise on policies, risk, and architecture while partnering with teams to embed security in design and development.

You will coordinate proactive security initiatives, escalate cyber risk, and provide leadership updates to executives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
• At least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
• At least 7 years of experience providing guidance and oversight of security concepts.
• At least 7 years of experience performing security risk assessments and security architecture reviews.
• At least 7 years of experience with cloud infrastructure and network design.

Responsibilities

• Act as a central Information Security point of contact for the Enterprise Platform team.
• Coordinate and execute proactive Information Security consulting across Infrastructure Security, Data Security and Network Architecture.
• Advise on Capital One’s Information Security capabilities, policies, procedures and standards.
• Influence stakeholders to shift security left in development processes.
• Escalate and manage cyber security risk.
• Provide updates to executive leadership on overall security health and risk.
• Collaborate with line of business leadership to align security with business objectives.
• Provide product security consulting in Authentication/Access Management and related areas.
