The SinclairInformation Technology Department is seeking a full-time,tenure-track faculty member to join its Business and PublicServices Division beginning Fall 2026. This program providesstudents with a robust, hands-on education tailored to the demandsof the modern tech industry, featuring state-of-the-art facilities,experienced faculty, and a curriculum that builds practical skillsin cybersecurity, networking, and technical support while offeringflexible scheduling, valuable certifications, and strong industrypartnerships that connect students with local employers forinternships and job opportunities.
The successful candidate will be able to teach across multipleareas of Information Technology, with particular emphasis oncybersecurity, networking, cloud computing, and automation.Instructional responsibilities may include courses in networkinfrastructure and security, cybersecurity fundamentals andadvanced topics, including instruction in cloud platforms such asAWS and Microsoft Azure, and advanced PowerShell scripting andautomation for systems administration and enterprise environments. This position requires in-person instruction across all threeSinclair campuses, including Dayton, Centerville, and Mason, andthe faculty member is expected to deliver hands-on, appliedinstruction aligned with industry standards, certifications, andcurrent workforce needs, while supporting student success in bothtraditional and online learning environments.
This tenure-track role typically requires at least a 40-hour workweek which includes a course load of 15 credit hours per semester, and a minimum of five office hours per week. In addition to theseresponsibilities, the faculty member will be expected to performrelated duties including serving on department and collegecommittees, serving as an ambassador for the program, and mentoringand coaching students. Teaching assignments may include day,evening, and/or weekend assignments. The position reports to theChair/Program Administrator.
All full-time faculty salaries are determined by the Provost’sOffice and are commensurate with education andexperience.
This position is open only to applicants who reside in Ohio,Indiana, or Kentucky, or who are able to perform work withinone of these states. Sinclair Community College restrictsemployment to approved states due to employment, tax, and benefitscompliance requirements.
