The role operates within the Office of Information Technology Services' Chief Information Security Office and Cyber Command Center, requiring excellent organizational and customer service skills combined with solid cybersecurity understanding. The position may require off-shift availability to respond to security incidents and is available in Latham, Rochester, or New York City.

Key qualifications:

• Six years of information technology, cyber security, or information assurance experience, or one year of state service as an Information Technology Specialist 3 (Information Security)

• Ability to work with independence aligned with agency and upper-level management strategic direction
