The Information Technology Services, Office of is seeking an Information Technology Specialist 4 to serve as a Customer Relationship Manager within New York State's Security Operations Center. Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and align with agency direction.
• Availability during off-shift hours for security incidents or critical activities.

The Information Technology Specialist 4 serves as a Customer Relationship Manager within New York State's Security Operations Center, coordinating the onboarding and relationship management of cybersecurity subscribers from local and state government entities. The role involves ensuring smooth transitions for new subscribers, meeting their needs, and facilitating collaboration between NYSOC teams and subscriber organizations. The position requires strong customer service and organizational skills along with a solid understanding of cybersecurity and may require availability during off-hours for security incident response.

Key qualifications:

• Six years of information technology, cyber security, or information assurance experience OR one year of state service as an Information Technology Specialist 3 (Information Security)
• Bachelor's or higher degree in any field with 15+ semester credit hours in computer science or related field may substitute for three years of experience
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills with solid understanding of cybersecurity
