Job description

Feetures is a family-owned performance sock brand headquartered in the Charlotte Metro area of North Carolina, built on one core belief: people are not meant to sit still. We create socks designed for every kind of athlete, because we believe all people are Meant to Move - and it’s our mission to inspire and support that passion in everyone.

Founded in 2002, Feetures was born from a drive to engineer a better sock for runners, athletes, and all people pursuing active, healthy lifestyles. Today, we’re the #1 running sock brand in U.S. run specialty stores, sold in more than 40 countries worldwide - a global footprint built on the foundation of a tight-knit, values-driven family business. We obsess over the details, push the limits of performance, and bring unmatched competitive passion to everything we do.

We’re not just making socks. We’re moving an industry forward. If you’re driven by purpose and energized by performance, you’ll feel right at home here.

About the Role

Feetures is hiring an IT Specialist to provide responsive, practical technology support and help keep our employees, systems, and devices working securely and efficiently. As a key member of the IT team, you will assist employees in person and remotely, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support business applications, and help maintain the technology resources our teams rely on every day.

You will also support laptop and mobile-device deployment, technology inventory, conference-room equipment, and the day-to-day administration of approved AI tools. Success requires more than technical knowledge: you will communicate clearly, follow issues through to resolution, protect confidential information, and know when to resolve a problem independently or elevate it to the appropriate IT partner.

What You’ll Own
Employee Technology Support
  • Provide timely, friendly in-person and remote technical support to Feetures employees
  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, connectivity, account-access, and peripheral issues
  • Document issues and resolutions, upscale complex incidents appropriately, and follow through to ensure employees receive a complete resolution
Systems & Application Support
  • Review diagnostics and assess the functionality, efficiency, and reliability of company technology systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain business applications and cloud-based solutions configured for Feetures’ operating environment
  • Assist with system testing, data verification, application updates, and the rollout of new technology capabilities
  • Support user accounts, permissions, onboarding, role changes, and offboarding in accordance with established procedures
Hardware & Asset Management
  • Image, configure, deploy, maintain, and recover laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and other employee technology
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Support conference-room audiovisual equipment and help ensure shared technology is ready for meetings and events
  • Coordinate equipment repair, replacement, recycling, and vendor support as needed
Security & Responsible Technology Use
  • Help safeguard Feetures’ systems, files, and confidential information by following established security and access-control practices
  • Support security updates, device compliance, access reviews, and other routine controls under the direction of IT leadership
  • Recognize and promptly elevate potential security or privacy concerns while reinforcing responsible technology practices through clear employee guidance
AI Tool Administration & Enablement
  • Support the rollout and day-to-day administration of approved AI tools, including user onboarding, access controls, and basic troubleshooting
  • Monitor use against company policy and help employees understand appropriate, secure, and responsible AI practices
  • Assist with testing and documentation, and elevate data privacy, security, compliance, or tool-performance concerns to IT leadership
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on IT support experience
  • Foundational experience supporting users, devices, operating systems, or business applications through work, internships, academic projects, certifications, or other practical experience
Technical Capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems, common productivity applications, and basic computer hardware
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, account-access, and connectivity issues
  • Basic understanding of cloud-based applications, user permissions, data privacy, and information-security practices
  • Working understanding of generative AI assistants and copilots, including the privacy and security risks associated with their use
  • Ability to learn specialized business applications and work effectively within documented processes
Skills & Mindset
  • Service-oriented and patient—you make technical support approachable and treat every employee interaction with care
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical information in practical, nontechnical language
  • Organized, dependable, and trustworthy when managing multiple requests, confidential information, system access, and company equipment
  • Curious and adaptable—you ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously build your technical knowledge
What Sets You Apart
