Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex technology infrastructure initiatives from planning through implementation. This role is ideal for a technically minded project leader who understands network infrastructure, cloud environments, telecommunications, data centers, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology operations.

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will coordinate internal engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and third-party technology partners to ensure infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to enterprise standards.

The ideal candidate has experience managing mission-critical infrastructure environments where reliability, uptime, security, and operational readiness are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT infrastructure and technology projects, from requirements gathering and planning through implementation and operational handoff.
• Manage projects involving network infrastructure, cloud, data centers, telecommunications, wireless, structured cabling, security, and enterprise systems.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, resource requirements, and implementation strategies.
• Coordinate multiple technical teams, including network engineering, systems, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, facilities, and application teams.
• Manage third-party vendors, contractors, technology partners, and service providers throughout project delivery.
• Establish accountability across internal and external stakeholders and ensure project deliverables remain on schedule.
• Review technical requirements, architecture documentation, network diagrams, statements of work, technical drawings, and implementation plans.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and potential operational impacts before they affect delivery.
• Lead project status meetings and provide executive-level reporting on progress, risks, budget, timelines, and critical decisions.
• Coordinate infrastructure implementations and cutovers while minimizing disruption to business-critical operations.
• Ensure projects meet enterprise availability, security, performance, compliance, and service-level requirements.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure appropriate monitoring, documentation, support processes, and disaster-recovery considerations are established before project completion.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, automation, standardization, and operational efficiency.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across geographically distributed locations and teams.
• Support procurement activities, vendor selection, contract deliverables, and technology lifecycle planning.

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure, technology, network, cloud, telecommunications, or enterprise technology projects.
• Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure technologies, including LAN/WAN, wireless, routing/switching, Internet connectivity, telecommunications, and data center environments.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, Azure, or comparable platforms.
• Experience managing projects involving multiple technical disciplines and external vendors.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, high-availability or mission‑critical infrastructure projects.
• Ability to understand technical architecture and challenge assumptions without needing to personally perform every engineering task.
• Experience managing project budgets, timelines, resources, risks, dependencies, and vendor deliverables.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with engineers as well as executives and business stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, telecommunications, healthcare, hospitality, gaming, or another highly regulated/high‑availability environment is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI‑ACP, or similar project management certification.
• ITIL certification or experience working within IT service‑management environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar project‑management platforms.
• Experience with network/cloud migrations, data center projects, enterprise connectivity, or technology modernization.
• Experience managing projects with significant third‑party/vendor dependencies.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resilience.
