Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and documents current processes; benchmarks and identifies efficiencies.
• Leads multidisciplinary teams using Lean Six Sigma when appropriate.

Job Description

Contributes to the execution of the department vision and strategies by identifying and executing improvement opportunities. Leads and facilitates the identification of key measures, data analysis, process improvement, and the implementation of redesigned processes for system clinical and operational functions. Documents current process and makes recommendations for process improvements in areas including business systems, resource planning, IT processes, and others as needed. Implements approved changes individually or with a project team, and routinely provides written and verbal feedback to assigned leadership team.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, including both functional and technical experience with demand management and project management tools and systems
• Proven experience in system enhancements, specification documentation, and report development
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in leading teams and facilitating workshops from start to finish with measurable results and operational impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business, computer science, or related field required

Certification Summary

• Process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) certification required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Firm understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, as well as business systems development and analysis
• Sound analytical, quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to manage timelines and track issues and trends
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to distill complex technical concepts and employ sound analytics to convey a compelling story to both technical and non-technical personnel and leaders
• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical, statistical, reporting, and business intelligence tools
• Demonstrated instruction and/or mentoring skills
• Ability to develop standards for documentation to include templates, assist in the development of change management and revision control leading practices
• Act as departmental content lead responsible for creating site collections, training employees, and troubleshooting issues
• Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities

Job Responsibilities

• Reviews and documents current business processes, performs benchmarking analysis, determines whether current processes meet business needs, and develops methodologies and disciplines to achieve efficiencies.
• Facilitates multidisciplinary teams using Lean Six Sigma methodology when appropriate.
• Develops and implements monitoring and reporting to evaluate the overall performance of processes and improvement efforts.
• Provides data and analysis to assist in identification of additional improvement opportunities.
• Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance and standardization and to identify any additional risks or opportunities.
• Collaborates with assigned area’s department leaders and others in the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of processes pertinent to their area.
• Engages with leaders and stakeholders within IS&T to assist in the goal development process; helps define functional strategy and identify opportunities to innovate.
• Act as departmental content lead responsible for creating site collections, training employees, and troubleshooting issues.
• Educates and provides technical expertise to employees and leaders in identifying key performance indicators linked and aligned with organizational strategic goals and performance targets.
• Recommends and implements approved changes; ensures training and documentation are updated to support changes, including policies, when appropriate.
• Assists IS&T leadership in creating and maintaining a strategy to provide documentation resources needed by staff to ensure effective IS&T support services.
• Assists staff and management with the development of requests for proposals, departmental policies and procedures, operational guidelines and project documentation as requested.
