Mantell Associates is partnering with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to appoint an IT Manager for its Massachusetts site. This hands-on role leads site IT operations, while coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and corporate IT to ensure reliable, secure and compliant technology.

The role involves managing endpoints, supporting day-to-day IT needs, building an IT service management centre and overseeing vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience as IT Manager, Site IT Lead, IT Support Manager or similar hands-on role.
• Strong experience managing endpoints and end-user devices.
• Site-based IT experience in regulated manufacturing (pharma/biotech/CDMO).
• Broad background across end-user support, hardware, networking, infra and systems administration.
• Experience delivering IT service delivery, vendor management and support processes.
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments, IT compliance and controlled procedures.
• Practical, approachable problem-solver who can take ownership and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day IT operations and provide hands-on support across the site.
• Manage and maintain endpoints (PCs, laptops, tablets, kiosks, printers) for users.
• Build and develop the site's IT service management centre and support model.
• Lead local IT support activities, handling service requests, incidents and escalations.

• Manage IT vendors and external partners to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain IT procedures, documentation and security controls in a regulated environment.

Mantell Associates is partnered with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation looking to appoint an IT Manager to take ownership of IT operations at its Massachusetts site.

This is a hands‑on role for an IT technical generalist who enjoys being involved in day‑to‑day support while leading site IT operations, managing vendors and improving service delivery. You'll work closely with manufacturing teams and wider corporate IT to ensure the site has reliable, secure and compliant technology.

• Take ownership of day‑to‑day IT operations and provide hands‑on technical support across the site
• Manage and maintain endpoints, including PCs, laptops, tablets, kiosks, printers and other user‑facing equipment
• Build and develop the site's IT service management centre, supporting both internal employees and external visitors
• Lead local IT support activities, managing service requests, incidents, escalations and continuous improvement
• Support site infrastructure, networking, user access, Microsoft 365 and endpoint management
• Manage IT vendors and external support partners, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
• Maintain IT procedures, documentation and security controls in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and corporate IT to ensure technology supports site operations and compliance
• Experience in an IT Manager, Site IT Lead, IT Support Manager or similar hands‑on technical role
