JMK Holdings owns and runs a mix of businesses across several industries and locations, including silicone rubber manufacturing plants in Weatherford, TX and Manchester, England; restaurants in Fort Worth and Alpine, TX; a game and cattle ranch in Alpine, TX; and a cigar company based in Weatherford, TX. We're looking for a hands-on IT Manager to keep our computers, network, and business systems running smoothly every day. This is a "roll up your sleeves" job — you'll work side-by-side with one other IT staff member to support everyone across the company, from setting up a new laptop to helping a plant employee log back in so production doesn't stop. This position is based at our silicone manufacturing facility in Weatherford, Texas. The ideal candidate is just as comfortable fixing an everyday desktop or software problem in person as they are managing our network, servers, and cloud systems.
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Benefits eligibility begins the first of the month following 60 days of employment
- Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, AD&D, Critical Illness, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
- 401(k) retirement savings plan
- Dependent Educational Scholarship Program (eligible after 3 years of service)
- No highway gridlock, no hour-long crawls-just more time for the things that matter outside of work
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with one other IT staff member to cover hands-on desktop and application support across every location — you'll be doing the work yourself, not just directing others
- Provide hands-on desktop support — setting up and troubleshooting computers, laptops, printers, and phones for employees in person or remotely
- Provide hands-on application support — helping employees with everyday software questions, from Microsoft 365 and email to our ERP and restaurant POS systems
- Keep our IT infrastructure running day to day — this covers cloud services, cybersecurity basics, business software, servers, Microsoft 365, and all employee computers and devices
- Keep phone and internet systems (voice and data) working reliably across all of our locations, including our facility in England
- Handle day-to-day systems administration and jump on urgent IT issues quickly when something important breaks
- Look into new technology and tools that could make our teams more efficient, and help roll them out
- Be the go-to person for managing our computers and devices from purchase to retirement, rolling out new IT tools, and helping end users get the most out of them
- Help choose the hardware, software, and outside vendors we use for our network, phones, and related technology
- Build good working relationships with our vendors, and know who to call and what to do when something goes down or slows down
- Support our ERP system, which is used for accounting, inventory, production reporting, ordering, billing, and other day-to-day manufacturing tasks — helping users when something isn't working right
- Write simple scripts and set up integrations (APIs) to automate repetitive tasks and make business processes run smoother
- Provide quick, hands-on technical support so employees can stay productive and our systems stay up and running
- Set up and troubleshoot electronic data interchange (EDI) connections with our ERP system
- Keep track of and update all company computers, devices, and software
- Work side-by-side with our other IT team member to handle on-site support across all business locations — resolving help desk tickets, fixing incidents, and solving problems as they come up, big or small
Qualifications
- Solid working knowledge of modern networking (things like SD-WAN, cloud networking, and network security)
- A hands-on, get-it-done approach to supporting different software systems, especially manufacturing systems — you're comfortable doing the work yourself, not just delegating it
- Good at juggling multiple requests at once and figuring out what needs attention first in a busy environment
- Able to explain technical things in plain, everyday language to coworkers who aren't tech people
- A self-starter who takes initiative and gets things done without a lot of hand-holding
- A natural problem-solver who enjoys figuring out what's wrong and fixing it
- Detail-oriented, service-minded, and a good team player — you'll be working closely with one other IT staff member and with employees across the company
- Some experience managing cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity best practices
- Comfortable building and maintaining simple integrations (APIs) between different systems
