Principal Recruitment Consultant - IT Infrastructure - Franklin Fitch

A healthcare organization based in GA is seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Manager with a proven blend of strong leadership skills (75%) and deep technical knowledge (25%) to lead a team of six System Administrators (1 Junior, 2 Regular, 3 Senior). This role is crucial to maintaining and evolving our IT infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on strategist and a proactive project driver, capable of being the firm voice when tough decisions are needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, mentor, and support a team of 6 System Administrators.
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training opportunities.

Project & Infrastructure Management

• Lead infrastructure-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive planning and execution of strategic initiatives such as server upgrades, cloud adoption, and DR implementation.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents.
• Lead ongoing adoption, support, and optimization of Microsoft cloud products (Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD).
• Oversee migration efforts and ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
• Work closely with stakeholders across departments to assess infrastructure needs.
• Translate technical requirements into business outcomes and vice versa.
• Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure high availability and performance of all IT systems.
• Oversee and continuously improve disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, policies, and procedures.

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles.
• 3+ years in a leadership or management position.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise Microsoft 365 migrations (3000+ users preferred).
• Proven project management success across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of Microsoft cloud services (M365, Azure, Exchange Online).
• Familiarity with virtualization, server administration, networking, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience in regulated or complex enterprise environments (e.g., healthcare) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to “be the bad guy” when needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Certifications (not required but advantageous):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
