Group IT - Infrastructure and Onsite Services

Infrastructure & Onsite Services (IOS) ensures that best in class infrastructure services is developed, supported and operated. The function also offers the best-in-class onsite services for factories and warehouses. Furthermore, IOS secures the global provision and support of all needed infrastructure services for the Volvo Group, enabling the digital transformation journey, we are undertaking. IOS also manages onsite deliveries of IT infrastructure and End User Services, manages local Business Areas relationships and interfaces, drives systematic continuous improvement to reduce downtime and create business value.

Onsite Infrastructure Demand & Automation is a relatively new function in IOS

The mission is consolidation of Group Truck Operations business demands, building target architecture and securing deliveries of services in due time with the right deployment support

What You Will Do

Our vision is to ensure the successful implementation of IT infrastructure to accelerate automation while enabling quality and security to meet the Group Truck Operations ambitions for 2030. To do this there’s a need modernize the IT infrastructure utilized in our plants and warehouses to take benefit of both existing IT infrastructure services and services being developed. Are you motivated by working with people and IT infrastructure as an enabler for digitalization for impact and would you like to contribute to modernize the IT infrastructure used within our plants and warehouses – Then this might be what you have been looking for.

As a Business Infrastructure Manager, you will be the interface for IT infrastructure that is supporting our plants and warehouse. You will capture business requirements, prioritize, promote existing services or drive development of new services. You will use your leadership to prioritize infrastructure projects based on business impact, resource availability, and risk factors. Develop and execute a roadmap that aligns IT infrastructure initiatives with overall business strategy.
