Duration: 2-3 Month W2 Contract (Possible Extension)

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $70-84/hour on W2, all-inclusive

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst / QA Analyst to support a critical application migration initiative involving the transition from LDAP to Active Directory (AD).

This role will work across both Business Analysis and Quality Assurance, with responsibilities including requirements gathering, defining security role requirements, test planning and execution, test automation, deployment validation, data validation, and post-production support.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within SDLC environments, translating business requirements into testable solutions, and performing both functional and technical testing across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Define and document security role and access requirements for applications migrating from LDAP to Active Directory.
• Develop test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing across UI, backend/batch processes, data conversion, and ETL workflows.
• Apply black-box and gray-box testing techniques.
• Validate application deployments and migration results across multiple test environments.
• Perform data validation and research using SQL queries.
• Coordinate and manage test data across development, QA, UAT, and other environments.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects through resolution.
• Support regression, integration, functional, system, and security testing activities.
• Participate in post-production validation and provide production support as needed.
• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, project teams, and other technical resources.
• Track requirements, test execution, defects, and project activities using Jira and related tools.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes, test automation, and documentation.
• Maintain clear technical and business documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, QA Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role with combined BA and QA responsibilities.
• Strong experience with requirements elicitation, gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience with test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
• Strong understanding of black-box and gray-box testing principles.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Experience testing UI, backend/batch processes, data conversion, and ETL.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to create, execute, and interpret SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Experience working across multiple test environments and managing test data.
• Experience with Jira or similar project/defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

• Experience implementing or migrating Active Directory / AD B2C solutions.
