Job summary

Core Staffing represents a global merchant bank seeking an IT Associate to support the firm’s Information Technology team in NYC. The role is temporary to permanent and reports to the IT leadership, with on-site presence 4 days per week.

Responsibilities include provisioning user accounts, end-user support, onboarding/offboarding, email security monitoring, vendor coordination, and maintaining security posture across systems. Occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree from an accredited institution preferred
• 2–4 years IT experience in financial services or regulated sectors preferred
• Experience with end-user account provisioning and IT support processes

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage end-user accounts (Microsoft, Zoom, Adobe, etc.).
• Provide in-person or remote end-user support, from workstation setup to helpdesk support
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding IT needs
• Email security gateway monitoring and policy management
• Coordinate with local IT vendors for new implementations
• Ensure systems are secured and fully patched; respond to security situations
• Respond to and remediate network issues; support external networking initiatives
• Willing to work after hours/weekends to support users in other time zones when needed

Job description

Our client, a global merchant bank, is seeking an IT Associate to be a part of the firm’s Information Technology team. The IT Associate would support the firm's IT Department, including the SVP of IT, and the global IT needs of the firm.

This is a temporary to permanent role that reports to the firm's NYC office 4x per week.

Responsibilities:

• Provision / manage end-user accounts (e.g., Microsoft, Zoom, Adobe, etc.) and any account administration needs


• Provide in-person or remote (via TeamViewer or similar tool) end-user support, ranging from physical workstation setup/troubleshooting to remote helpdesk support for junior as well as senior employees


• Assist with the IT needs of employee onboarding and offboarding


• Email security gateway monitoring and intervention and broader email policy management


• Coordinate support needs and work with local IT vendors at other sites to resolve issues and deliver new implementations


• Ensure systems are secured, network devices are fully patched and respond to security situations as they develop


• Respond to and remediate network issues and support external resources for more nuanced networking initiatives


• Willingness to work after hours/weekends to support users/projects in other time zones, when needed

Requirements:

• 4-year degree from an accredited educational institution preferred


• 2-4 years of IT experience, at a financial services organization or in another regulated sector like government, legal or healthcare preferably

• Network Administration and Security (Fortinet stack, Meraki, QNAP/Synology, HP Aruba)
