The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a IT Asset Management Manager- ITAM (IT Asset Management Specialist Supervisor).

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent serves as the Supervisory IT Asset Management Specialist, responsible for overseeing and advancing all aspects of the OCIO's IT Asset Management (ITAM) program. The incumbent provides strategic leadership in the development, governance, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and systems related to the lifecycle management of hardware, software, and telecommunication assets.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in IT asset management; collaborating with stakeholders across the District government.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements; maintaining audit-ready records; managing vendor relationships and asset management platforms; tracking and reporting asset data through performance metrics
  • Supervise a team of IT Asset Management Specialists and contractors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years of progressive experience performing duties and responsibilities related to IT asset management, including leading the lifecycle management of hardware, software, and telecommunication assets for a large-scale organization; serving as the subject matter expert on IT asset management standards, tools (such as ServiceNow or Oomnitza), and compliance protocols; developing and implementing enterprise-wide asset management policies and procedures; and at least one (1) years of supervisory experience managing technical teams or contractors. ITIL 4, CAMP, or an equivalent IT-asset-management certification preferred.
