V&S Galvanizing LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking an IT Administrator to oversee all technology systems, infrastructure, and support processes across facilities. You will work hands-on to ensure secure, reliable operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT, a degree in IT or CS, and experience with networks, security, ERP support, and Microsoft 365 in manufacturing settings; occasional after-hours support may be required.

• Experience in manufacturing/industrial IT environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems, networks, hardware and software
• Administer user accounts, permissions, updates, backups, and security tools
• Provide technical support to onsite and remote employees
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and new technology solutions
• Develop and maintain SOPs for IT processes and disaster recovery
• Manage vendor relationships, equipment procurement, and service contracts
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards
• Manage mobile phone issuance and setup including credentialing
• Support ERP systems, production technology, and facility-critical apps
• Assist with IT processes to improve efficiency and security
• Travel to facility locations as needed

About the Role:

The IT Administrator will oversee all technology systems, infrastructure, and support processes to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations across our facilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem-solving, and supporting technology solutions in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems, networks, hardware, and software
• Administer user accounts, permissions, updates, backups, and security tools
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to onsite and remote employees across V&S facilities
• Coordinate and implement system upgrades, patches, and new technology solutions
• Develop and maintain SOP documentation for IT processes, systems, and disaster recovery
• Manage vendor relationships, equipment procurement, and service contracts
• Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies and industry security standards
• Manage company mobile phone issuance and setup, including credentialing, user training, and troubleshooting
• Support ERP systems, production technology, and other facility‑critical applications
• Assist with the creation and rollout of IT processes and procedures to improve efficiency and security
• Travel to facility locations as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• Prior experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge of network administration, hardware, software, and security best practices
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience managing IT projects, upgrades, and implementations
• Familiarity with ERP systems, industrial technology, or production software (preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing needs
• Must be willing to provide occasional after‑hours support as needed
• Highly Proficient in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VoIP, cloud platforms and Active Directory
• Highly Proficient with cybersecurity frameworks and modern security tools
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, networking, and core business systems
