Information Systems Security Officer- ISSO

Opportunity Overview

As an ISSO, you will ensure operational security postures and active security authorizations for projects/security plans (SPIDs). Responsibilities include creating and maintaining security artifacts such as POAMs, conducting vulnerability assessments, managing POA&M resolutions, and advising on ICD 503 and RMF standards throughout the IT lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of systems, applications, and services.
• Participate in security assessments and develop remediation plans.
• Maintain operational security for information systems in collaboration with the ISO.
• Implement and review security measures per DoD/NIST RMF standards.
• Manage security artifacts like POAMs, control implementations, and test plans.
• Oversee integration of applications with enterprise security services.
• Apply security guides and patches timely.
• Use security databases such as XACTA 360, Service+, CPT, and SWAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years of ISSO experience, preferably in NGA or IC.
• Experience with security scans and patches.
• CISSP or Security+ certification.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $68,400 - $143,700. Benefits include healthcare, retirement, education, and more. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, with no travel required.
