Job description

Powder River Industries, LLC provides technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). As a prime, we are responsible for complete end-to-end system management for a customer’s mission system. This includes a data center, integrated logistics support, COOP, and disaster recovery. As a subcontractor, we offer services such as DevSecOps, software development, network administration, systems analysis, database administration, storage engineering, hardware engineering, and Tier 1 – Tier 3 support in various environments including traditional data centers, cloud, and hybrid cloud. Our cloud environments include AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle.

Requirements :

  • Provide solutions that require analysis and creative use of innovative methods to solve complex problems by collaborating with subject matter experts and program managers in areas such as critical infrastructure and industrial control system cybersecurity, and information security.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training to domestic and international partners.
  • Provide cybersecurity expertise within multidisciplinary teams assessing facilities and consulting for DOE / NNSA’s DNN.
  • Develop software and technological solutions supporting GMS missions.
  • Engage regularly with other cybersecurity experts to share knowledge, opinions, and recommendations, working collaboratively to fulfill deliverables.
  • Design technical solutions independently, analyze sponsor requirements, and implement software to address these requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience with Splunk, RSA, Tenable Nessus, and SELinux.
  • Strong understanding of ports, protocols, and services.
  • Assist architects and developers in implementing information security functionalities aligning with agency security policies and enterprise solutions.
  • Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities.
  • Familiarity with Sentinel One, IDS/IPS solutions, and MECM is preferred.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Environment :

Non-Negotiable Requirements :

  • Active TS clearance with the ability to maintain a CI polygraph. Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and read-ins.
  • Proven technical skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset—everyone is essential.
  • Alignment with PRI core values.
  • On-site work is required; remote work is not an option.

On-call support is required, including surge support outside normal EST hours.

Normal schedule: Monday – Friday, EST, with flexible start/end times based on commute.

Applicants will undergo drug testing as per 10 CFR 707.4 and a federal background investigation for access authorization. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, including a polygraph if applicable, may be required.
