TIAG is hiring an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) for the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.
TIAG offers cybersecurity, IT engineering services, assessment, authorization (A&A), and cyber operations support, including lifecycle management policy, guidance, oversight, and direction for a cyber analytics system.
An active Top Secret clearance is required to start. The position is onsite at our client location with potential for 1-2 days of telework per week. Travel may be required. Core business hours are 0900 to 1500.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and patch HBSS Windows and ACAS servers.
- Maintain and patch all ePO, Security Center, and Nessus servers.
- Provide Security Center accounts for Vulnerability Managers to scan devices within ACAS.
- Assist with remediation/mitigation or make recommendations based on vulnerability findings from ACAS and STIGs.
- Build virtual servers, deploy, and patch all McAfee modules via ePO, and configure McAfee policies.
- Apply STIGs to HBSS Windows OS, McAfee policies, and other servers.
- Run SCAP scans on Windows and RHEL servers.
- Troubleshoot Security Center and Nessus scanner issues.
- Assist with selecting RMF Security Controls.
- Develop technical documents such as RMF policies, SLCM, IRP, DRP, and Security CONOPS.
- Draft technical boundary and architecture diagrams.
- Harden systems and implement applicable STIGs.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
- Security+ certification; compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level III (e.g., CISSP).
- 5+ years of experience in Information Management/IT support, including technical and cyber analyst roles, HBSS, and ACAS.
- Experience supporting development, review, and approval of RMF A&A packages.
- 5+ years of experience with IA / INFOSEC concepts: Firewall Policy, Ports & Protocols, Cybersecurity, DoD/DON RMF standards.
- Experience with wireless technologies and IEEE 802.11 standards.
- Familiarity with DISA STIG requirements, SCAP Content Checker, SRRs, and DoD tools like eMASSter or Vulnerator.
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, motivated to analyze and document issues, and provide status updates.
- Dependable, proactive, and professional work ethic.
- Up to 15% travel may be required.
