Information Systems Security Engineer

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to execute the Information Assurance mission. This opportunity is for a future award expected in June 2025.

Job Description:

The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.

Primary Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Poly

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Relevant Experience:

• Participates as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
• Applies knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
• Interacts with the customer and other project team members.
• Participates as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components.
• Supports the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Supports security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Identifies overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with seven (7) years of experience as an ISSE on similar programs. DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required. Four (4) years of ISSE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
