Cape Cod Healthcare Inc is seeking an Information Systems Intern (TEMP) in Hyannis, MA. The intern will assist PC Technicians with upgrading computers, installing software, and configuring workstations, while learning from Systems, Network, and Security Engineers.

This hourly internship provides hands-on exposure to IT operations, help desk support, and patient-focused technology in a healthcare setting, with opportunities to develop practical skills during the rotation with IT teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school or an undergraduate degree program.
• Experience in the use of basic PC applications including MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist PC Technicians with upgrading computers, installing software, and configuring workstations.
• Monitor the Help Desk ticketing queue, field tickets, and provide resolutions; document resolutions in online tickets.
• Attend departmental meetings and learn from Systems, Security, and Network Engineers.

Purpose of Position : The IS Intern position will provide hands on assistance to the PC Technicians and occasionally assist and learn from other department positions such as Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, and Security Engineers. The IS Intern will work directly alongside PC Technicians as they upgrade computers, install software, and configure workstations for users throughout the facility.

Description

• Assists in configuring, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PC Workstations, applications, and printers.
• Monitors the Help Desk ticketing queue, fielding tickets, and providing resolutions to users. Documents resolutions in online tickets and closes tickets accordingly.
• Attends departmental meetings.
• Shadows systems, security, and network engineers to learn about those fields.
