Job summary

St. James Parish Hospital is seeking a Systems Analyst to support, secure, and enhance its information systems across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will work with Microsoft 365, data reporting, automation, and a range of applications to ensure reliable hospital operations. The role involves analyzing data, developing dashboards, coordinating upgrades, and contributing to cybersecurity measures while aligning with HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; 7 years of related experience can substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot hospital applications, virtual servers, cloud services, networks, endpoints, and related infrastructure.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 admin center services, including Exchange Online, Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Purview, Azure services, and Microsoft Copilot.
• Support and troubleshoot the hospital’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, hardware, firewalls, and connectivity to cloud and vendor-hosted systems.
• Help protect hospital systems and information through access management, system monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, backup verification, and cybersecurity incident response.
• Extract, validate, and analyze data from hospital systems; develop reports and dashboards for informed decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and approved AI tools; develop, test, document, and maintain solutions with system owners.
• Plan and coordinate implementations, upgrades, integrations, and other technical projects with vendors and internal teams.
• Develop test plans, verify system changes, document configurations and procedures, and assist with user training.
• Monitor system health, cyber posture, and performance; investigate errors and alerts, maintain procedures for reliability and recovery.
• Advise management on technology capabilities, risks, and opportunities relevant to hospital operations.
• Protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of hospital information and comply with HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 7 years of related experience can substitute for a degree
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications and infrastructure.

Preferred

• Experience with virtual environments, networking, cybersecurity, all Microsoft 365 Admin Center Products.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week; participates in the after-hours on-call rotation.
