Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for an onsite role at Eglin AFB, FL. You will safeguard classified IS and data, provide cybersecurity support for diverse test area systems, and develop/maintain security documentation including SOPs, SSPs, and ATOs.

Required are U.S. citizenship, a DoW 8140 certification (e.g., Security+), and an active Secret clearance, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Schedule is M-F, 8-5, onsite at Eglin AFB.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an applicable discipline; an Associate’s with additional experience may substitute.
• DoW 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification certification (e.g., Security+) is required.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements, network technologies, and DoW networks.
• Experience developing SOPs and SSPs.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance is required to start.

• Provide cybersecurity support for test area systems, including real-time, standalone, and networked systems.
• Develop, maintain, and revise SOPs, SSPs, and ATO documentation.
• Conduct security scans using DISA STIGs to ensure compliant security settings and patch levels.
• Monitor and document system changes per the Configuration Management Policy and SSP.
• Assist ISSM and assume ISSM duties in their absence.

Torch Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Officer. (ISSO) to join their team at Eglin AFB, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified Information Systems (IS) and data using Air Force approved network engineering practices, information security standards, and approved industry best practices.
• Independently provide cybersecurity support for various test area systems, including real-time computers, standalone systems, and networked systems.
• Evaluate approved new technologies prior to implementation within the organizational environment.
• Independently provide cybersecurity support for application development, planning, network implementation, systems integration, communication support, computer-communication maintenance, asset management, and security controls.
• Develop, maintain, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), System Security Plans (SSPs), and Approval to Operate (ATO) documentation.
• Independently perform security scans using DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure systems security settings and patch levels are compliant.
• Independently generate, collect, and preserve IS audit logs in accordance with the SSP and government customer requirements.
• Independently monitor and document system changes in accordance with the Configuration Management Policy and the SSP.
• Manage media control, including documentation and accountability of all media.
• Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in meeting their duties and responsibilities; assume ISSM responsibilities in the absence of the ISSM.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an applicable discipline.
• Degree requirements can be substituted with an applicable Associate’s degree and additional years of experience.
• Must have a DoW 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification certification (i.e., Security +).
• Knowledge and expertise in Cybersecurity requirements, network technologies, and computer security as applied to Department of War (DoW) networks.
• Experience developing SOPs and SSPs.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing all functions.
• Must hold an Active Secret Security Clearance. (required to start)
