Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

SecuriGence delivers essential technology services supporting critical national security missions. We seek an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to lead and strengthen our security posture. This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and operational leadership to ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and evolve a cybersecurity strategy aligned with DARPA's mission, technological landscape, and threat environment. Map critical information systems to business objectives and ensure security through process resiliency.
2. Lead risk assessment and mitigation, balancing operational needs with security requirements, including site assessments and logistical planning.
3. Establish and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards that meet or exceed DoD and industry best practices.
4. Ensure compliance with security regulations like NIST RMF, DoD STIGs, and other mandates, leading successful audits and achieving high compliance scores.
5. Promote a security-aware culture through training and knowledge sharing.
6. Lead and mentor cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
7. Develop and implement incident response plans for swift detection and remediation of security incidents.
8. Manage vulnerability programs, exceeding DOD scanning and remediation mandates.
9. Oversee 24/7 security operations, including continuous monitoring for threats.
10. Stay updated on emerging threats, adapting security strategies accordingly.
11. Design secure architectures with defense-in-depth strategies.
12. Conduct security assessments and audits, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements.
13. Select and implement security tools to enhance security posture.
14. Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into product development.
15. Serve as the primary contact for security and contract issues, ensuring systems meet security and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 12+ years in cybersecurity, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience within the Intelligence Community, including JCIP and JSIG RMF implementations.
• Experience with Xacta and eMASS.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Must obtain or hold an Agilist certification and DoD 8140.01 IAM Level II certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expertise in network security, vulnerability management, incident response, security architecture, and risk management.
• Leadership and communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and strategic decision-making skills.
• Experience with DARPA or DoD security requirements and technologies.
• Familiarity with agile and SecDevOps practices.
