Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Associate degree in a technical field with 3 years of networking/cybersecurity experience.
• Technical school completion with 3 years of networking/cybersecurity experience.
• Significant networking/cybersecurity experience can substitute formal education.
• Candidates must obtain Security+ or equivalent within six months of employment.
• Ongoing PD and pursuit of advanced certifications in network administration, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13 with professionalism to staff and the public.
• Provide network support and on-site troubleshooting for internal/external clients.
• Monitor WAN/LAN status and benchmark connectivity across multiple providers.
• Manage routers, firewalls, switches, and content filters.
• Configure and monitor wireless networks on-site and for remote clients.
• Handle equipment configurations, installations, and WAN/LAN upgrades.
• Install servers, perform patching, and support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Support server administration and virtualization for school systems.
• Engage in network planning and capacity management.
• Create and maintain network/configuration documentation.
• Administer cybersecurity controls and conduct staff training.
