Qualifications

Security Manager (Identity and Access Management - IAM)

Location: Des Moines, IA

Salary: $125,000.00 USD Annually - $155,000.00 USD Annually

Location and Work Arrangement: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote downtown Des Moines - Relocation offered

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM), governance, and compliance. In this role, you will help maintain and enhance SOX-related controls, assess the effectiveness of existing IAM processes, and recommend improvements that strengthen security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

This position is ideal for someone who combines hands-on IAM expertise with a process improvement mindset and strong communication skills. Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and CyberArk will position you for immediate impact.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and support IAM controls aligned with SOX compliance requirements.
• Evaluate existing identity governance and access management processes and recommend improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders to strengthen security controls and operational effectiveness.
• Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of security policies, methodologies, and procedures.
• Support identity lifecycle management processes, including access provisioning and entitlement management.
• Contribute to initiatives involving single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), and identity governance.
• Help drive automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and technology teams to support broader security and compliance objectives.
• Provide guidance and leadership within projects and cross-functional initiatives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 to 10 years of experience managing projects and working with security policies, methodologies, and procedures.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Identity Lifecycle Management
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Extensive experience with data security, access management, entitlement management, and provisioning processes.
• Hands-on experience with IAM platforms, particularly SailPoint IdentityIQ.
• Familiarity with SOX controls, governance requirements, and compliance practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML and OAuth.
• Experience with CyberArk or similar privileged access management platforms.
• Knowledge of automation technologies and process automation strategies.
• Broader cybersecurity experience beyond IAM disciplines.
• Previous leadership or people management experience.
