Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking an Information Security intern for the retail unit Community Bank, N.A. to assist in security initiatives and daily log/alert reviews.

The position supports 40 hours per week for a 6-month term (Spring 2027 – Summer 2027) with competitive compensation and a strong benefits package. Ideal candidates are pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in information security, cybersecurity or information technology and are at least 18 years

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in information security, cybersecurity or IT.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily security log/alert review.
• Monitor phishing mailbox and escalate as needed.
• Test and document new security initiatives.
• Assist with user access provisioning and de-provisioning.
• Assist with risk assessments related to vendors and new tech.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, policies and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Perform tasks with oversight from the Director of Information Security.
