Job summary

Community Bank, N.A. (a unit of Community Financial System, Inc.) is seeking a security-focused intern or student to support the Information Security team.

The role involves reviewing security logs, monitoring phishing channels, testing new security initiatives, and assisting with access provisioning and vendor risk assessments. Qualifications

• In process of earning an Associate's, bachelor's or master's degree in information security, Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist Information Security team members with security initiatives at a mid-sized banking institution.
• Review security logs/alerts daily and follow up as needed.
• Monitor the internal phishing mailbox and escalate as necessary.
• Test and document new security initiatives.
• Assist with user access provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
• Assist with risk assessments tied to vendor management and new technologies.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies and controls, and complete required training.
