Job summary

Sentry is seeking an Information Security Engineer to own a security domain, implement controls, automate processes, and resolve incidents to reduce risk. You’ll act as SME for domains like cloud security, data protection, and security automation, shaping policies and standards while improving platforms.

Based in Stevens Point, WI in a hybrid role, you’ll contribute to audits, incident response, and security across multiple systems, with opportunities for growth and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in Information Security, Networking, Systems Administration or Computer Science; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience
• Strong knowledge of network firewall/proxy design, cryptographic tech, AWS network/security platforms and data protection
• Scripting experience required
• Certifications such as Sec+, AWS SysOps Administrator, or GSEC preferred

Responsibilities

• Review security platforms for performance, availability and capacity; implement improvements
• Provide maintenance and patch deployment for integrated security systems
• Conduct audits and code testing to identify data security vulnerabilities
• Ensure alignment of security plans with information standards and risk mitigation
• Communicate and enforce security controls; provide training materials
• Participate in on-call rotations and security events
