Job summary

Sentry is seeking an Info Sec Engineer to own a security domain, implement controls, automate processes, and resolve incidents to reduce risk. You’ll operate as an SME across domains such as cloud security, data protection, and security automation, aligning practices with information standards.

You will contribute to architecture changes, perform on‑call rotations, and help drive best practices within the Information Security program from Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Information Security, Networking, Systems Administration or Computer Science.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
• Hands-on understanding of firewall/proxy design, cryptographic technologies, AWS network and security platforms, and data protection technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review the maturity and effectiveness of security platforms, ensuring performance and capacity.
• Monitor and investigate issues to avoid service interruptions.
• Recommend and implement new features within platforms to streamline processes and enable continuous deployment.
• Maintain patches, testing, virus management, and information security policies.
• Conduct audits and code testing to identify data security vulnerabilities and mitigate threats.
• Implement architectural changes when intrusions occur and monitor effectiveness.
• Create reports summarizing findings for management.
• Ensure security plans and procedures align with information standards.
• Identify risks and propose procedures to prevent future incidents.
• Communicate and monitor security controls to protect organizational assets.
• Provide training and educational materials to users.
