Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Information Security Engineer to bolster security infrastructure in Welkom. You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect systems and data from cyber threats, deploying tools and responding to incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on security engineering experience.
• Experience with network security devices and SIEM.
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security.
• Configure and maintain security systems for optimal performance against threats.
• Develop security automation scripts and tools to improve ops efficiency.
• Respond to security alerts and conduct forensic analysis for remediation.

• Stay current with security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
