Information Technology Services (ITS) at MCCCD is hiring multiple Information Security Associates to join an integrated team operating at the intersection of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) security and broader Cybersecurity Operations (SecOps). In this hybrid operational role, Associates manage enterprise application security, user access controls, and role-based permissions within MCCCD's ERP system while serving as an active extension of the SecOps team.
In addition to fulfilling access requests and maintaining security documentation, Associates monitor security alerts, investigate unauthorized access, and participate directly in Incident Response (IR) efforts involving ERP environment threats. This position is ideal for technical professionals looking to build dual expertise in ERP application security and hands-on SecOps threat detection, containment, and incident response.
30% ERP Security & Access Operations: Receives, evaluates, and fulfills Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP security requests, access provisioning, role assignments, and permission updates; monitors identity and access telemetry to detect and resolve privilege anomalies or unauthorized access attempts.
20%SecOps Support & Incident Response: Serves as a primary security contact for ERP-related threats; participates in division-wide IR efforts by conducting log reviews, account containment, emergency access revocations, and forensic audit assistance during security incidents.
20% ERP Security & Baseline Hardening Projects: Assists with application security projects, privilege reviews, system upgrade testing, and baseline security hardening across ERP systems under the direction of the Security Lead.
20% Security Documentation & Runbooks: Maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), role definitions, identity governance documentation, security runbooks, and incident response guides for ERP and SecOps operations.
10% Threat Monitoring & Administrative Duties: Assists SecOps with routine security alert monitoring, vulnerability tracking, and threat log triage; attends team and division meetings; performs related operational duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology, information security, computer science, cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.

An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certifications sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Technical certifications may be used towards the substitution of the above-mentioned requirements for education and/or experience. Substitution amounts for certifications are based on the duration of time it takes to obtain the certification, the difficulty to obtain the certification, and/or the desirability of the certification as related to the business needs of the assignment.
