Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

• Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis.

This position is responsible for delivering architecture intent to enterprise stakeholders and the Information Security organization at-large, that ensures the secure realization of business initiatives in a manner consistent with the Bank’s current and future risk appetite.

Responsibilities

1. Security Strategy: assists in designing and implementing security strategies for assigned subject matter domain (e.g., Identity and Access Management, Compute) and Information Security, based on knowledge of the domain, bank policies and standards, regulatory requirements, and threats.
2. Security Architecture: review architectures, identify security gaps through threat modeling and risk assessment, and recommend improvements. Continuously improve processes for scale and consistency.
3. Solutions Architecture: act as solutions architect for security solutions, providing initial architecture, assisting with integrations, and leading implementation.
4. Business Support: serve as an SME, providing advisory and consulting services, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Continuous Education: stay informed on IT developments, security technology, and threats; influence security strategies and establish secure design patterns.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in IT including Security OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in IT including Security.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of architecture/security architecture experience in large enterprise environments.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO, CIS, CSA.
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks like TOGAF, DODAF, Zachman.
• Understanding of cyber-attack taxonomies like CAPEC, ATT&CK.
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly desirable.
• Experience with scripting/programming.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit.
• Strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and data-driven metrics.
• Experience in a Large Financial Institution (LFI).
