Job description

Title: Cybersecurity Architect
Duration: 9+ months
Locations: Remote - (Atlanta, GA / Charlotte, NC / Raleigh, NC)

Role Responsibilities:

• Architecting effective and efficient solutions that meet the Bank's needs, including creating Cybersecurity Blueprints for application interactions and integrations across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Applying in-depth expertise in Identity and Access Management and broad experience across cyber/information security domains.
• Contributing to scope and business case development as needed.
• Gathering and developing requirements by coaching stakeholders and translating business needs into technical and system specifications.
• Determining optimal solutions and approaches through analysis of requirements.
• Creating architecture and operational documentation with support from engineering and operations teams.
• Participating in Identity ecosystem convergence activities for the client from heritage Banks.
• Advising, consulting, leading, guiding, and mentoring project teams, engineers, analysts, and support staff.
• Participating in agile planning and delivery methodologies.
• Building relationships with internal clients.
• Conducting threat modeling and security gap assessments with other teams.
• Creating reusable patterns for recurring cyber challenges.
• Contributing to policy, standards, Minimum Security Baselines (MSBs), procedures, and guidelines.
• Escalating security risks and other technical or deployment risks as necessary.
• Leading Proof of Concept/Value Exit presentations by communicating results and recommendations.
• Conducting post-project reviews to compare design intentions with actual implementation outcomes.
• Supporting the Cyber Architecture Practice to meet enterprise architecture objectives.

Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences:

• Deep expertise or comprehensive knowledge across Data Protection, IT Risk, Network Security, Application Security, Security Operations, and Identity and Access Management, especially with complex AWS architectures.
• Understanding of security standards such as NIST SP800-series, Cybersecurity Framework, FIPS 140-2, and others.
• Mentoring less experienced team members and working independently in complex situations.
• Experience with Agile Scrum practices.
• Solution expertise in Digital Commerce, Digital Banking, Large Data Management, Attack Mitigation Technologies, Multi-factor Authentication, Application Security, Cryptography, Federated Identity, and Anti-bot technologies.

Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:

• Certifications like CISSP-ISSAP, AWS, Azure, SANS, or TOGAF.
• Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions, consulting, or professional services.
• Financial industry experience.
• Advanced degrees in relevant fields.
• Additional expertise in Containerization, Microservices, API, CI/CD, Content Delivery, Adobe Experience Platform, and Fintech integration.
