Job description

Locations: Remote - (Atlanta, GA/ Charlotte, NC/ Raleigh, NC)

Role Responsibilities:

1. Architect effective and efficient solutions that meet the Bank's needs, including creating Cybersecurity Blueprints detailing application interactions and integrations between on-premises and cloud-based applications.
2. Apply in-depth expertise in Identity and Access Management and broad experience across cyber/information security.
3. Contribute to scope and business case development when needed.
4. Gather and develop requirements by coaching stakeholders and translating business needs into technical and system requirements.
5. Determine the best solutions and approaches based on requirements analysis.
6. Create architectures and operational documentation with engineering and operations teams.
7. Participate in Identity ecosystem convergence activities for clients from heritage Banks.
8. Advise, lead, and mentor project teams, engineers, analysts, and support staff in solution delivery.
9. Engage in agile planning and delivery methodologies.
10. Build and maintain relationships with internal clients.
11. Conduct threat modeling and security gap assessments.
12. Create reusable patterns for recurring cybersecurity challenges.
13. Contribute to policy, standards, security baselines, procedures, and guidelines.
14. Identify and escalate security, technical, deployment, or other risks.
15. Lead Proof of Concept/Value Exit presentations to stakeholders.
16. Perform post-mortem reviews to compare design and implementation outcomes.
17. Support Cyber Enterprise Architecture objectives within the Cyber Architecture Practice.

Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences:

The candidate must be a highly experienced subject matter expert with deep specialization or comprehensive knowledge across Data Protection, IT Risk, Network Security, Application Security, Security Operations, and Identity and Access Management. Experience with securing complex AWS architectures is essential.

Understanding of security standards such as NIST, FIPS, ISO 27000, PCI-DSS, CIS Benchmarks, and related frameworks is required.

Apply deep expertise and broad knowledge in professional disciplines, interpret business challenges, and recommend best practices. Mentor less experienced team members and work independently in complex situations.

Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies is necessary.

Specific solution expertise areas include:

• Digital Banking and Financial Systems architecture
• Large data management and integrations
• Attack mitigation technologies (DDoS, WAF, Bot)
• Multifactor and Risk-Based Authentication
• Application Security (OWASP)
• Robotic Process Automation
• Cryptographic technologies
• Federated Identity Management / SSO
• Client authentication for anti-bot, signaling, and fraud prevention

Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:

Certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, AWS, AZURE, SANS, or TOGAF are preferred.

• Experience with M&A, consulting, or professional services is a plus.
• Financial services industry experience is highly desirable.
• Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, or related fields is preferred.
