What We Do

Responsible for supporting the Information Security awareness program initiatives, including protecting information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording, or destruction. Security Information & Event Monitoring (SIEM) Tool responsibilities are a key function of this position.

What You'll Do

  1. Participate in identifying business process requirements and related business/application solutions for a specific business need.
  2. Provide training and support directly to customers as needed.
  3. Identify and analyze problems, research solutions, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test, gain consensus, and implement solutions for defined business processes.
  4. Create documentation of technical security requirements and functions.
  5. Generate and analyze reports; research data and report trends to management/business partners.
  6. Oversee small to medium scale projects or phases of larger projects under general supervision.
  7. Maintain consistent time and task entries with high quality to enable automated capacity planning.
  8. Conduct risk assessments by interviewing internal and external customers to understand security and compliance requirements.
  9. Support information systems development and advise the business community on risks associated with new or changing technologies.
  10. Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into daily activities.
  11. Participate in evaluating and selecting new technology.
  12. Resolve security issues across platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, etc.
  13. Perform duties outside normal work hours as needed based on business requirements.
  14. Handle problems of moderate scope, analyzing situations considering various factors.
  15. Exercise judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
  16. Follow department processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvements.
  17. Avoid significant delays in process development or problem resolution caused by errors.
  18. Work independently, setting priorities and objectives; work is reviewed for judgment and accuracy.
  19. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments.

What You'll Bring

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in information security.
  2. At least 2 years of experience with networking, intrusion detection, VPN, PKI, Checkpoint and PIX firewalls, CISCO; NAC; Identity management, and encryption technologies.
  3. Preferred certifications include CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP.
  4. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  5. Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/AIX, Microsoft NT/2000, multi-layer firewall design and implementation, router access list/packet filtering (CISCO), WANs, LANs, Internet, Intranets, network protocols, and services (telnet, ftp, etc.), Intrusion detection systems, VPN, two-factor authentication.
  6. Experience in implementing security technologies and processes.
  7. Experience managing vendor relationships and product evaluation.
  8. Experience with Security Information & Event Monitoring (SIEM) tools, preferably Alert Logic or similar.
  9. Ability to define security strategies and integrate security technologies into corporate frameworks.
  10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  11. Interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
  12. Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to issues.
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range: $65,550 - $87,375 Annually

This range is an estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting and may change. Actual offers depend on education, experience, and location.
