About

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Network Engineer for our HUD proposal. The Network Engineer implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities
  • Gather information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigate the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stay abreast of developments in hardware and software.
  • Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and design, ensuring requirements comply through formal verification methods.
  • Translate high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development.
  • Design interfaces and integrate network and system elements to function as a whole.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Serve as customer liaison and support business development activities to understand and shape requirements.
  • Coordinate planning, design, and installation of equipment, utilizing engineering, programming knowledge, and sophisticated instruments and computers.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts.
  • Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  • Design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices.
  • Generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.
  • Review test plans/procedures to ensure they meet contractual objectives and participate in testing to validate requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field with 7+ years of network engineering experience (or equivalent experience).

Compensation

The posted pay range reflects the expected range at the start of employment but may vary based on factors such as market location, skills, education, and experience. The total compensation may include additional elements discussed during hiring. Employment is at-will, and GovCIO reserves the right to modify salary and compensation elements at any time.

Salary Range: USD $81,850.00 - USD $130,950.00 /Yr.
