Job description

Remote Position: Must be living in: AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MO, MS, TN, or TX

Primary Purpose

The IAM Analyst defines, analyzes, supports, tests, and administers business-related technology within a budgeted time frame and cost that will meet departmental requirements by providing access to bank systems. Works with Business Partners to understand and compile data and design report specifications to match requirements. Able to translate complex business requirements and concepts into structured reporting. Assists with user access reviews, vendor due diligence, and monitors the ticketing system to distribute work to the team and ensure completion. Participates in small teams on assignments to accomplish project goals.

This position requires performing duties in a manner reflecting and supporting best-in-class service. Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail are vital for the successful and precise processing of data requests. Candidates must be able to set priorities and organize requests received throughout the workday.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Resolve incoming access requests.
  2. Conduct GLBA reviews of critical applications, including risk and control documentation, in conjunction with other IS members, understanding data protection compliance related to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
  3. Monitor security systems, reports, and logs from critical systems, conduct inquiries, and escalate anomalies for further investigation as necessary.
  4. Develop data extracts for reporting and reviews, ranging from metric reporting to audit and exam responses.
  5. Liaise with other reporting areas within the bank.
  6. Assist with monthly vendor due diligence and onboarding of new vendors as needed.
  7. Maintain current procedures and document new processes as required.
  8. Alert management to security issues and recommend resolutions.
  9. Identify and communicate process and procedure improvement opportunities to management.
  10. Participate in other assignments as directed by the CISO or IAM Manager.
  11. Identify opportunities for Attribute-Based Access Controls (ABAC) and Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC).
  12. Support Governance Risk Management programs, including controls, data quality, security risk reduction, and regulatory compliance.
  13. Effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and leadership.

Job Specifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or a related field.
  • Security certifications are preferred.

Experience:

  • Background in Information Security preferred.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management preferred.
  • Proficiency with collaboration software (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, etc.).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of data and system security techniques and tools.
  • Understanding and application of info security principles and best practices, especially regarding security configurations.
