Job description

We are seeking a part-time (24 hours per week) Information Review & Release Analyst (Subject Matter Expert) to support a dynamic Intelligence Community office with a flexible work schedule.

The position involves reviewing and researching documents to make appropriate redactions based on EO 13526, FOIA, and the Privacy Act. The candidate must apply critical-thinking skills to evaluate cases and utilize various systems and tools to inform the review and release process.

The individual will provide legal exemption rationale, recommend document releases, and record decisions. Research of previous decisions ensures consistency. The role also involves identifying Other Government Agency (OGA) equities for referral or coordination.

The candidate must effectively evaluate each case, manage time efficiently, and collaborate with team members. High-quality, accurate work is essential, along with flexibility for ad hoc duties and process improvement ideas.

Responsibilities

• Review and redact equities within classified documents according to SOPs, workflows, and policies.
• Request document scans and data searches from respective teams.
• Assist in training new search team members.
• Collaborate with supervisory POCs to improve processes.
• Work an 8-hour shift between 6:00AM - 6:00PM, Monday-Friday, with occasional surge support outside normal hours.

Requirements

• TS/SCI FSP Clearance
• At least 16 years of experience reviewing and redacting classified information per FOIA, PA, EO 13526, or equivalent roles in IC or related fields.
• Alternatively, extensive experience in analytic roles with familiarity with FOIA, PA, and EO 13526.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (equivalent to 3 years relevant experience); Master’s degree adds 1 year.
• Skills include self-motivation, collaboration, time management, critical thinking, and professional communication.

Optional Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience with EO 13526 (or EO 12958) and FOIA/PA within the IC.
