Job description

Information Review and Release Analyst - SME

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission support services to meet our customers’ most demanding challenges. Our capabilities include cyber space operations, cyber defense and resiliency, vulnerability research, ubiquitous technical surveillance, data intelligence, lifecycle mission enablement, and software modernization. Nightwing brings disruptive technologies, agility, and competitive offerings to customers in the intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial markets.

Nightwing seeks an Information Review and Release Analyst for our litigation team. This position offers a flexible work schedule in the Herndon, VA area, supporting a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. The individual will oversee the declassification of documents related to litigation cases (civil or criminal). The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, capable of recording the chronological order of events accurately, and handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

The analyst will organize documents for legal review, ensure accurate record-keeping, act as a liaison with Other Government Agencies (OGAs), conduct desktop research, and analyze results to determine relevance or previous declassification status. Responsibilities include providing rationale for redaction actions using codes from the Customer's declassification guide, recommending document release, and recording decisions in the Customer's systems. The candidate will identify records containing OGA equities requiring external referral or special handling, manage the referral process, and ensure proper organization and assignment of documents to the appropriate equity holders. They will also research prior declassification decisions to maintain accuracy and consistency, providing feedback to the Customer.

The candidate must apply critical-thinking skills to evaluate each case, utilize customer systems and tools, manage time effectively, collaborate with team members, and deliver high-quality, accurate work. Willingness to perform ad hoc duties and contribute process improvement ideas is essential.

TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1

Typical Duties include, but are not limited to:
  1. Review and redact equities within classified documents following SOPs, workflows, and policies.
  2. Request document scanning for research purposes.
  3. Request initial data searches relevant to cases.
  4. Assist in training new search team members, as needed.
  5. Collaborate with supervisory client POCs to improve processes and workflows.
  6. Work an eight-hour shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with occasional surge support outside normal hours for urgent requests.

At Nightwing, we value collaboration and teamwork. You’ll work alongside talented, passionate individuals, leveraging collective expertise to drive innovation, solve complex problems, and deliver exceptional results.
