Job summary

UNMAS Syria Programme in Damascus seeks an Information Management and Analytics Analyst to maintain data accuracy for programmatic operations and mine-action decisions. You will improve database structures, define IM processes, and support data sharing with stakeholders.

The role covers data validation, backups, and tools like IMSMA/ArcGIS, with opportunities to deliver technical training and develop the national mine action database. Fluency in English and Arabic is valued.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent with relevant experience in information management.
• Experience with database systems, data quality, data modeling and validation.
• GIS tools for spatial analysis and mapping required.
• Ability to design and deliver technical training for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the Information Management function and adapt IM unit structure.
• Design, maintain and improve database structures and IM processes.
• Contribute to IM SOPs, data validation, cleaning, imports, backups and QA.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely data availability and reporting.
• Support development of the national mine action database and deliver IM training.
