Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to support a new Navy tactical system integrating with EW sensors. The role involves learning test assets, maintaining test equipment, and coordinating with SMEs to ensure proper SKCS test environments for successful events.

Required IAT Level II, Linux (RHEL), and DoD cybersecurity knowledge; travel to external test sites may be needed, with on-site collaboration in a lab setting.

Qualifications

• IAT Level II certification or higher.
• Linux OS certification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers/workstations/VMs and IT hardware/software.
• Working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements incl. RMF, STIG, vulnerability scanning, SCAP, POA&M, and continuous monitoring.
• Knowledge of security for classified DoD networks (SIPRNET/SDREN).
• Experience maintaining lab/test/development environments.
• Experience supporting software integration and test activities.
• Ability to document test results, procedures, and configuration records.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work on-site in a collaborative engineering/test environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn test assets, environments, and classified build environment in the SKCS lab.
• Maintain test equipment and coordinate troubleshooting with SMEs when needed.
• Collaborate with SMEs at IWSL to align test requirements for SKCS tests.
• Assist I&T team members with testing as needed.
• Assist CM/DM tasks as needed.
