Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. seeks a seasoned information developer to organize and govern end-user information assets within DITA/XML frameworks.

You will design information relationships for efficient content reuse and guide technical writing teams across multiple product lines, ensuring interoperability of information assets. You will own and evolve the information model, review content structures, and collaborate with IT, program managers, and suppliers to maximize uptime of authoring systems while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related military experience.
• Strong experience with DITA XML, XHTML, and PDF.
• Experience with information lifecycle management and toolchains.
• Experience with graphics standards.
• Experience with language translation automation.
• Technical aptitude to understand engineering information and processes.
• UX Design experience and aptitude.
• Taxonomy and metadata development and management.
• Office 365 and Adobe apps proficiency.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program Manager, management team and IT to define objectives and best architecture approach for success.
• Research metadata and content strategies, XML (DITA) releases, and align service content for reuse.
• Maintain and revise information models and define new output transforms.
• Support technical publications across multiple product lines and ensure adherence to information standards.
• Manage architecture, reuse, styling, and transforms projects within the authoring system.
• Lead and train staff in XML-based systems and promote upgrades to processes and tools.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure uptime of authoring systems and alignment across regions.
