Job summary

Daimler Truck North America seeks a skilled technical writer to package and publish technical content for drivers and service technicians. You will work with Arbortext XML, Windchill workflows, and deliver content for HTML and PDF formats.

You will collaborate with engineers and subject‑matter experts to create clear manuals, service bulletins, and procedures for multiple audiences, with a hybrid work model in place.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in English, Writing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Technical content development and/or technical writing experience.
• Demonstrated technical writing communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create technical illustrations, diagrams, workflows, and visual documentation.
• Experience authoring XML content in DITA using Arbortext.
• Knowledge of Windchill workflows.

Responsibilities

• Writes documentation for technical products for internal or external audiences.
• Determines an effective structure and layout for complex manuals.
• Conducts research and liaises with technical staff to interpret complex data.
• Ensures content review and updates are incorporated.
• Edits content to improve clarity, impact, flow, and readability.
