The Information and Outreach Program Coordinator (IOPC) serves adults age 60 and older, as well as their families and caregivers, by ensuring that the Department of Aging’s programs, services, and communications are presented accurately, effectively, and impartially in clear, easy-to-understand language. The position supports informed, self-directed decision‑making by listening to individual concerns, identifying needs, and connecting individuals with appropriate information and resources. The IOPC enhances the department’s visibility, promotes community engagement, and advances its mission of serving older adults and those who support them. Additionally, the coordinator represents the department at local and statewide meetings, presentations, conferences, and other aging‑related events and advocates for the interests and needs of adults age 60 and older.
