Help Tell Jacksonville’s Story!

Your creativity. Your voice. Your community.

The City of Jacksonville’s Media Services team is looking for someone who is ready to turn ideas into engaging content and help connect the community with the people, programs, and services that make Jacksonville a great place to live.

Media Services is the City’s content creation and communication hub, bringing Jacksonville’s story to life through video production, social media, print and digital communications, television, live streaming, and more. From highlighting community events and City services to sharing important information during an emergency, the team plays a vital role in keeping citizens informed, engaged, and connected.

With a mantra to “serve Citizens the way they want to be served,” Media Services meets people where they are—on their phones, social media feeds, television screens, websites, and in the community. The team manages and creates content for a growing social media audience, produces programming for Jacksonville-Onslow Government Television, supports City publications and advertising, and provides critical communication support during hurricanes and other emergencies as part of the City’s Emergency Operations Center.

If you’re creative, collaborative, digitally savvy, and excited about using communications to make a difference in your community, this could be your opportunity to put your talents to work for Jacksonville.

A Little About The City:

Jacksonville has one of the youngest demographics in the US with a median age of 22.8 and an estimated population of 75-80,000. The City offers a great work/life balance. We are rich in history and deep in pride of our local military as demonstrated at Lejeune Memorial Gardens near Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station. Many of our military return and plant roots here because of the lifestyle and all that the City has to offer. Another reason people stay in Jacksonville... We are a Caring Community as stated in our City seal.
