Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking an Informatics Pharmacist to lead IT-related activities tied to medication ordering, dispensing, and administration. You will develop, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support clinical systems in collaboration with Epic and ADS teams.

You will oversee ADS operations, build Epic entries, and optimize workflows to improve safety and efficiency. A leadership role with a focus on data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy required.
• Advanced degree and/or ASHP accredited residency preferred.
• Must be a registered pharmacist in the state of Washington.
• Three years of hospital pharmacy experience required, five years preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of financial reports
• Effective interpersonal skills critical

Responsibilities

• Manage IT components linked to medication ordering, dispensing, and administration.
• Develop, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support clinical systems.
• Assist in broader clinical systems implementations and issue resolution for Pharmacy systems.
• Oversee automated dispensing systems (ADS) and technicians supporting automation.
• Build new entries in Epic, investigate ADS/Epic issues, and communicate with staff and Epic team.
• Optimize pharmacy automation, medication databases, and Epic workflows for safety and efficiency.
• Audit pharmacy charging data and collaborate with compliance.
• Collaborate with Epic and IT analysts to resolve medication-use process issues.
• Lead pharmacy quality improvement activities to enhance safety and workflow.
• Analyze data and communicate findings to analysts and team.
