Informatics Pharmacist – Overlake Medical Center & Clinics

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics has an exciting opportunity for an Informatics Pharmacist to join a dynamic team of engaged professionals. This position will be responsible for the Information Technology components that intersect with the ordering, dispensing, or administration of medications, focusing on automated dispensing and the electronic health record.

Pay Range: $158,288.00 – $237,432.00

Responsibilities

• Participate in the maintenance and support of automated dispensing systems (ADS), including oversight of pharmacy technicians who support automation.
• Build new entries into the Epic system, investigate ADS and Epic issues, and communicate findings with pharmacy staff and Epic team members.
• Optimize pharmacy automation systems and medication databases, and refine Epical processes to enhance medication safety and workflow efficiency.
• Manage pharmacy charging finances, collaborating with compliance, reviewing medication charges, and auditing data as needed.
• Serve as a member of the pharmacy leadership team, guiding a team of approximately 30 pharmacists and 30 technical staff.
• Collaborate with Epic and IT analysts to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions related to medication‑use processes.
• Engage in pharmacy quality improvement activities to enhance safety related to electronic systems and streamline pharmacy workflows.
• Utilize spreadsheets to analyze data, generate reports, and communicate findings effectively with analysts and team members.
• Additional duties may be assigned as required.
