Valley Health System is seeking an APC Informaticist to balance 0.5 FTE in Clinical Transformation with ongoing clinical practice. The role focuses on optimizing the EMR, improving workflows, and advising VHS leadership on informatics strategy to boost efficiency, quality, and productivity.

The 0.5 FTE clinical component reinforces peer credibility and ambulatory primary care activities, while advanced Epic EHR expertise drives organization-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required to practice as an APP.
• Minimum 3 years in a clinical setting using Epic EHR.
• Maintain licensure to continue part-time APP work.
• Ability to obtain Epic Physician Builder certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of the EHR and related workflows.
• Teach complex concepts and new technology to clinicians.
• Lead onboarding and training initiatives for new providers.
• Serve as primary liaison to frontline staff for EMR optimization.
• Collaborate with clinicians to improve patient outcomes and efficiency.
• Research best practices to inform operational plans.
• Oversee EMR use audits and training for VHS staff.
• Support quality and peer review committees in standard of care.
